“When an owner states, 'my dog just loves coming to class and seeing you', that is the greatest compliment I can receive."

Angie’s Pet Perfect Dog Training is committed to providing a wide range of dog training services at affordable prices to fit any dog owner’s needs. It is important to look at owners and their dog's needs, as well as personality. Training and services are provided based upon these principles. You are the trainer and I am the instructor. It is important to offer solutions that are realistic and effective for you and your dog.

My training philosophy is to maintain a balance between motivational or positive reinforcement and leash-handling skills. Overly heavy-handed training is not for me and neither is a dog that only listens because of bribery. Although I think it is important that our dogs see us in a leader role; there is a big difference between having your dogs respect and intimidation.

My classes offer a style of training that is very similar to service dog training. They are kept at a moderate enrollment size. This provides you with plenty of personal attention. I am familiar with a variety of training styles, techniques, and skills. I make recommendations to enhance your training results. I don't require you to purchase special dog training equipment, or prevent you using treats.

My job is to provide owners with realistic techniques to modify puppy or adult dog behaviors and develop clear communication between you and your dog. This establishes a trust and bonding with you and your dog. This ensures to better strengthen dog/owner relationship. My guarantee is to help you teach your dog good manners, while maintaining that personality which makes them unique.

Why do I do this?

After rescuing a Lab/Greyhound mix I named Duncan, I became increasingly interested in dogs and keeping them out of shelters. This passion has taken me down a path of professional dog training and involving myself with performance obedience in the American Kennel Club (AKC). In the pursuit of educating people about responsible pet ownership and helping families have their perfect pet, I decided to start Angie's Pet Perfect Dog Training in February of 2005.
